Amalia Adler-Waxman is VP Social Impact and Responsibility at Teva Pharmaceuticals LTD. In her role she drives Global Health programs as well as Teva’s responsibility reporting and related strategies. Ms. Adler-Waxman career focused on leading global health strategic initiatives, driving advocacy, policy change, targeted communication and the development multi-stakeholder collaborative. Prior to working with Teva Amalia was the Global Head of Nestle Nutrition Corporate Affairs and Communication. Before this role Amalia worked at Pfizer Nutrition as Director of International and Market Affair. For several years she was an independent consultant and managed health related multi-stakeholder projects. During that period she also taught a graduate course on the politics of public health at The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. During 2000-2005, Amalia led the development of the World Health Organization (WHO) Strategy on Diet Physical Activity and the Prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases at The World Health Organization. Amalia served as head of the Division of International Affairs and Public Relations at The Weizmann Institute of Science. Early in her career she was Policy and Legislation Coordinator at the Israel Women’s Network and a parliamentary aide to a Member of Knesset. Amalia has an MA in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and a B.A. in Political Science and History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (cum laude). She is a Board and executive committee member of The Abraham Initiatives, an organization dedicated to promoting share society for Jews and Arabs in Israel; she had also been a member of the US National Academy of Science (previously IOM) Forum on Investing in Young Children Globally.
